A Message from the
SGO President

By Carlos Veras

As SGO president, elected two weeks ago, I want to thank everyone who voted for all of the candidates, who were all outstanding candidates. It was a very tough campaign, and I was lucky to win. The two other candidates, Briana Pagan and Nickia Williams, were very hard competitors and they really showed their fighting Gramercy spirit.

Since you all are waiting for what’s next, I can tell you that the SGO will try its best to fulfill everybody’s needs. I also want to take a moment to remind you that the SGO is not only about solving problems but actually creating a safe and enjoyable environment for each and every one of you.

The SGO knows how talented you all are and we are interested in hearing your ideas—so if you want your voice to be heard please talk to any member of the SGO and then we will discuss your idea or concerns at our weekly meetings.

Please feel free to communicate with any of the SGO members, because we can’t do it without you. We need you because you are the reason that we work hard. The names of SGO members are below, and you should feel free to email us at our Gramercy Arts emails at any time. Thank you all again for your support of the SGO and your work to make the school a better place for everyone.
